Would you buy a new 5th wheel unit and then put a CHINESE hitch in your truck bed? We wouldn't. Torklift Central

With the difference in the economic trends consumers habits have changed. That's not to go about saying that its not better than before. Having come quite a long ways since the despise of the economy in 2008. With the difference in the economy, its  starting to change almost everywhere. In the RV world things started to change in a different course than most had thought. Some manufacturers were dying to find ways to save by sending their work overseas. Outsourcing (CHINA)  saves a manufacturer tons of dough when it comes to production. Time is money, and cheaper labor  can definitely save you a buck.

As consumers, we are all about saving. In these days we look for every chance we can to cut costs and save some bucks to put back into what we had hoped was our savings, but somehow seems to be our checking.

So get this. You are buying a new 5th wheel at a dealership. You are then given the daunting chore to get a hitch in your truck bed ( assuming you don't already have one )  to pull that new shiny mobile home on wheels. Most dealerships will give the hitch in the deal to get you to buy the unit. We have seen it all the time over the years.

Now dealerships are just like mfgs, and customers. Trying to save some bucks here and there. I mean, every cent counts these days right?

Right or Wrong. What the dealer isn't telling you is that they are giving you the bottom of the barrel 5th wheel hitch. They are throwing you an Chinese product that is casted brought over on a slow boat from China to the USA. Sure, they are going to give you some crazy  warranty with it to ease the pain.

But what they aren't telling you is that the quality of that product is not up to standards. You will find in a lot of the chinese hitches have defects, slop in the hitch  itself, a poor  jaw mechanism design, knocks when towing that would literally scare the crap out of even a seasoned veteran.

But if the manufacturer is willing to give you such a warranty. Why does any of this matter to you and I?  As a consumer you feel safe by the so called "piece of paper called a warranty" but you really are being given the short end of the stick.

Your short end of the stick means you are being robbed of a glorified American made product. There are 3 manufacturers of 5th wheel hitches here in the USA that have vowed to keep their products made here at home.

You question, how?  Easy. They literally MAKE EVERYTHING! They hire workers from their community, they buy their raw steel in the USA instead of offshore, they keep the line of production in the USA. From beginning to end, its all USA.

The other things that you won't find in the Chinese  hitches is a quality standard that is above the rest. With USA made 5th wheel hitches you will get a higher quality jaw  that is measured in  thousandths of an inch. You will find hitches that don't produce the bangs when towing.

In the End, "YOU" as the customer are walking away with a product made in the United States of America, Made from United States Steel, By a craftsman in the United States, You have peace in knowing that your hitch is complete.

And last but not least.....you put money back into your own economy.

For us at Torklift Central, we sell and support MADE IN THE United States.

Why Made In America Matters to Torklift Central

    Last updated 3 months ago

Why does made in America matter when it comes to towing and Torklift Central? It matters because you want to know where your parts come from, who made it, and that its going to last for a lifetime. At Torklift Central we believe in manufacturing our own hitches such as the EcoHitch. We manufacture these parts here in Kent Washington. When you purchase parts made in America you get the assurance that you know it was made with quality material, manufactured by a skilled craftsman, and inspected to deliver the highest quality.  We believe in manufactruing our own parts here in the USA and we also believe in selling parts that are made by skilled manufacturers who share the same feelings as we do.  Employing people form our local community to deliver an American made product.  Here are just a few of our manufacturers that are made in the USA. B&W Trailer Hitches, Pullrite 5th Wheel Hitches, Roadmaster Inc, and Torklift International.
